Immune Booster Juice is a sweet and vitamin-rich juice that can be made in just 10 minutes using an electric juicer. It’s loaded with healthy fruits and vegetables, including organic beets, carrots, oranges, ginger, apples, and celery. Not only is it extremely healthy and makes you feel great, but it’s also refreshing and delicious too.
In this time of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), it's even more important to take care of our health. Taking care of your health and loading up on vitamin-rich foods can help your body defend itself against illness. While you should enjoy yummy food like pasta and cookies, getting your recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables pays dividends for your health. One way I enjoy my daily dose of nutrients is with a glass of Immune Booster Juice.

How to Make Immune Booster Juice
Juice is so simple to make. You will need a juicer in order to make the juice, but if you are someone who often buys juice from the store, it is definitely worth the investment! In addition to customizing your own juices, you will also cut down on all of the plastic bottles used in store-bought juice. I use the Brevile Juice Fountain, but any of these juicers are great too: Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine, Hamilton Beach Premium Juicer Machine, Breville Compact Juice Fountain. Once you make your own batches of fresh juice, you can store them in glass bottles.
When juicing, thoroughly wash your fruits and vegetables to remove any dirt and bacteria. It's important to note that your juice will taste like anything you put through the juicer. For instance, for citrus fruits, I highly recommend removing the peel to avoid any bitterness in your drink. Additionally, with fruits with small seeds, like apples and pears, you can just halve them and throw them right in the juicer. For ginger, only use as much as you can handle since the taste can be very pungent. Once you juice all of the ingredients, you can compost the pulp. Immune Booster Juice is a sustainable, healthy drink that's good for you and the earth.
How to Store Immune Booster Juice
Immune Booster Juice can be kept in an air-tight glass pitcher or in glass bottles for up to 3 days in a refrigerator. This ensures you get the most out of the vitamins and nutrients before the juice goes stale. The glass bottles are great because you can take them to go and reuse them.

Why Immune Booster Juice?
Immune Booster Juice is loaded with vitamins and nutrients to help empower your immune system. When it comes to the importance of taking care of your health and understanding what makes your body thrive, I turned to my friend Dr. Gillian Salter, DACM, L.Ac for her expert advice. Dr. Salter is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Herbalist, and Nutritionist based in San Diego. She focuses on the healthy and well-being of her patients, and gives them the tools to take care of their health on their own. You can learn more about Dr. Salter on her website and follow her on Instagram and Facebook. Here is what she has to say about each of the ingredients in the Immune Booster Juice:
Ginger: a Powerful Herb
GINGER is one of the most powerful herbs and is an incredible immune booster. It is amazing for digestion and triggers the digestive fire in the stomach. When used in juices and smoothies, its warming properties lessen the harshness on the digestive system from the other cold properties in the beverage. Ginger has more than 60 trace minerals and over 30 amino acids. It traditionally treats nausea, stomach upset, and acid reflux due to its antispasmodic properties.
Ginger is an antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic herb, so it treats cold and flu symptoms. It is incredible for an upset stomach and acid reflux because it promotes the release of gastrin, which is responsible for the release of stomach acid and promotes bile flow. Ginger's anti-inflammatory compound gingerol increases blood circulation, calms inflammation in the body, and reduces muscle soreness.
Celery: the Miracle Vegetable
CELERY is an all-encompassing miracle vegetable. It is full of electrolytes, hydrates cells on a deep level, and strengthens the entire immune system. Celery is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory foods. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties it helps heal skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and rosacea.
Celery alkalizes your gut by raising the PH and getting rid of toxins including heavy metals, bacteria, yeast, fungus, mold and viruses. It also increases the stomach hydrochloric acid to help properly digest food. Celery also fights off bacteria and viruses, supports the liver in making bile, and is the ultimate electrolyte beverage. It balances blood sugar and blood pressure and increases adrenal function.
Beet: a Cardiovascular Hero
BEETS are an incredible cardiovascular root vegetable. They contain nitrates which the body converts into nitric oxide, which helps prevent clogging in the bloodstream. In Eastern medicine, beets cleanse the liver, build blood in the body, improve blood circulation, strengthen the heart, moisten the intestines, and calm the mind and spirit.
For vegetarians, beets are a great way to nourish the blood and promote circulation. Beets also promote menstruation due to their high blood circulating properties. They are a great source of folate, potassium and manganese. Their dark red-purple color comes from the pigment, betacyanins, which has anti-carcinogenic and anti-mutagenic properties. Beets are filled with provitamin A which is essential for the correct use of protein in the body.

Orange: a Vitamin C Powerhouse
ORANGES are a juicy burst of VITAMIN C! They contain glutathione, flavonoids, and limonoids. These components help fight off viruses, clear heavy metals, and protect the body from radiation. Glutathione is the ultimate liver detoxifier. Oranges are also are full of bioactive calcium which helps build strong bones and teeth.
In East Asian Medicine, oranges lubricate the lungs, help clear them of mucus, help relieve dryness and dehydration by promoting body fluids. They also help with weak digestion and a lack of appetite.
Carrot: Nutrients for Skin, Lungs, and Eyes
CARROTS are are packed with betacarotene, vitamins, and minerals. Betacarotene is an antioxidant, improves cognitive function, promotes good skin and lung health, improves eye health by lubricating and nourishing the eyes.
In Eastern medicine, carrots are referred to the “tiny ginseng," an incredible immune- and energy-boosting herb. Carrots strengthen the GI system through improving peristaltic movement of food, digestion, and absorption of nutrients.
Apple: Fiber and Brain Health Champion
As the saying goes “an APPLE a day keeps the doctor away (and keeps bowels moving & brain recharging). The unique, soluble fiber in the apples called pectin binds to and filters out toxins, molds, bacterias, viruses, and yeasts. The phyto-chemicals in apples feed neurons in the brain and increase electrical activity to calm the nervous system. This allows the brain to settle into a parasympathetic state.
Apples cleanse and purity the organs, improve lymphatic system circulation, and regulate blood sugar. They provide amino acids, trace minerals, phytochemicals, and electrolytes to detoxify and rehydrate the system on a deep cellular level.
