Classic Gravy

Classic Gravy

1 cup roasted turkey drippings
3 cup turkey or chicken stock
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp thyme
Freshly ground pepper


In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add pepper, salt, and thyme. Whisk in flour and stir until the mixture is smooth.

Gradually add in drippings and stock. Continue to whisk for a few minutes until the gravy is smooth and thickens. Serve immediately.
